Throughout history, Dehua County is best known for its pure white porcelain and wood-firing kiln production. It reflects the time-honored wood-firing techniques. The most famous wood-firing kiln in Dehua is Yueji Kiln, which has a history of over 400 years and has been regarded as the living fossil of wood-firing kiln. This 50 meters long ancient kiln is located just opposite to Yueji Kiln Ceramic Art Center. Therefore, all the resident ceramic artists have the opportunities to experience the whole process of wood-firing production.
